I love to tell stories through my photographs. Even though I'm only an amateur photographer, I have a lot of passion towards what I do and its shows in each picture I create.
My love and passion for photography began my freshmen year of High School only as a simple hobby living in the D.C. area.
By my Junior year, my best friend and I made a combined business partnership, Tory&Thao Photography . We mainly shot senior portraits, business events, and family portraits. As soon as I was a senior in high school, I was one of the school's yearbook photographer and editor. I would shoot anything from football games to award ceremonies all with the benefit of gaining experience in the field of photography.
I continued on with this hobby as a partial career by the age of 17. I was already published in the Washington Post, Washington Business Journal, and the Washington Examiner all under which were events I was assigned to.
Once I graduated from High School, I took up a photography internship in Old Town, Alexandria as a photographer. I worked in a glass shop called The Hour where my purpose was to photograph the glass, edit it with the experience of Photoshop, and upload to the website.
After being published at the age of 17 and continuing on with the internship and photographing events, I immediately knew that photography was something I wanted to pursue as a profession. My goal is to one day, be a Photojournalist in Washington D.C. or New York City with the side job of continuing photographing anything from weddings to events. As for now, I'm currently a student at James Madison University studying in The School of Media Art & Design. I'm hoping to get my masters from Corcoran College of Art and Design in Washington D.C. so I can improve my photography as well as gain experience in the professional field of photojournalism.

Anything from photographing family portraits, fashion portraits, couples portraits, new born portraits, to buisness portraits, I make sure to capture each shot to be it's ultimate best. In portraits specifically, I take the time after shooting to edit and photoshop each photo allowing the them to be professionally glamorized and clean..
Buisiness & Corporate
Doing shoots for companies and buisinesses is what I been known for best. My photos have been in The Washington Post, The Washington Examiner, and also the Washington Business Journal. Most of my events mainly have taken place in Old Town Alexandria, D.C., and the northern Virginia area. I prefer candid shots when it comes to photographing events rather than posed. When shooting corporate events, I like to change up my lenses and take shots from all different angles allowing the photo to be a more creative effect.
